Recently EA released an interactive map featuring previews and mock-up reviews of the lots featured in the new city to be found in The Sims 4's latest expansion pack City Living. I can't speak for anyone else, but I wasn't immediately put off by the map. There are images, lot names, and the reviews are quite interesting and feature some of that Maxis/EA humor any Sims player will have come to know and love. If you'd like to view the images up close Sims VIP's Alexis has gone through and extracted the images so you can see them more closely.
Now, onto the point of this post -- learning about Sims from the interactive map. To make this easier on myself I'm just going to list everything I've found below. Additionally, there's one subject I want to hit on at the end of this regarding a few posts, but I'll save that for the end.
1. Skye Fitness replaced ReadyGO Fitness after a fire burnt it to the ground.
2. Alto Apartments are, presumably, owned by the Alto family featured in The Sims 3 who were portrayed as rivals to the Landgraabs.
3. Presumably Nancy Landgraab is trying to convince her accountant to buy the Old Salt Flat apartments and flip them for a profit.
4. "SalimtheDream" once dated a girl who lived in the Zen View Apartments.
5. Dolores Morse was presumably born in 1921, making her about 95 years old. Dolores Morse can be seen in many promotional images for The Sims 4.
6. Mortimer and Bella Goth once lived at the Landgraab Apartments in San Myshuno.
7. Bella Goth once dated an unsavory fellow who lived at the Culpepper Apartments in the Spice District.
8. Mortimer proposed to Bella at the Romance Festival.
9. The Goths also lived in Torendi Towers for a time.
10. Nancy Landgraab tried her hand at art and once lived in Medina Studios.
11. The Goths possibly also lived in Medina Studios at one time.
12. Bella loves Planet Honey Pop!
13. The Goths were married in Myshuno Meadows.
Finally, the thing I hinted at that had me going whaaat when I first started reading these silly reviews. The Goth family appears in 2 ways in the these reviews: under a joint account known as GothDuo18 and under Bella's personal account Bellanotbella. Now, there's not much strange about this on the surface; couples share things all the time. It's weird but it happens.
What caught my eye was this post: "Perfectly upscale and always clean, the Skye Fitness has the treadmill for him, and a luxurious locker room for me. Approved from every angle!" What immediately came to my mind is who is speaking and what are they talking about?
The obvious answer for the first question is Bella. The answer to the second question is a bit more open ended. Moritmer, if you know, isn't the athletic type. I'm not saying it would be impossible for him to exercise, but it's unlikely. He's creative and a bookworm, which means he'd rather be posted up in a cozy chair reading or sat at a computer pouring his heart into creating a book of his own. In this case, who is Bella speaking of...?
